What is LIGHT (Light-Induced Guided Healing Therapy)?
LIGHT is an evidence based mind-body protocol that I have been trained in from the UC San Diego School of Integrative Medicine. LIGHT is designed to build your self-efficacy and also enjoy other benefits of improved mood, increased vitality and enhanced quality of life.
With the help of LIGHT sessions, I help my clients navigate to a deeper state of subconscious mind, forge new mental pathways and establish greater control over everyday as well as deeper challenges and traumas.
Research Backed
LIGHT is a research backed self-care protocol that implements a hybrid of hypnosis and guided imagery to promote self-efficacy. Research ensures that the protocol has been put to a test using rigors of science so that we can be sure of its benefits and applications.
The first pilot study at UC San Diego aimed at exploring the effectiveness of LIGHT concluded that the subjects experienced a 75% decrease in depressed mood, a 24% decrease in fatigue, a 38% increase in physical quality of life, and a 30% increase in mental quality of life.
Additionally, LIGHT users also reported desirable benefits such as increased vitality, improved sleep, and pain management. (Case et al, 2018)
Two pilot studies were conducted at the University of California, San Diego from 2011 to 2019, leading to a solid data supporting the protocol's efficacy that encouraged the University to include LIGHT as a self-care curriculum in its courses.
Unique Mind-Body healing experience
Light-Induced Guided Healing Therapy (LIGHT) was born out of a combination of Western science and rational thinking and Eastern philosophy and the spiritual approach. It is a combination of the West and East and this integration is what gives users of the LIGHT protocol the unique mind-body healing experience.
The transformative effects of this affirmative self-activation have been witnessed and verified through countless encounters in the classroom setting, research, and one-on-one experiential sessions with many LIGHT professionals around the world.

Why should you build self-efficacy?
'Efficacious people set challenging goals and maintain a solid commitment to them. They approach difficult and threatening situations with confidence that they have control over them. Having this type of outlook reduces stress and lowers the risk of depression.' (Bandura, 1994)
Success has no short-cuts. The basic skills required to stay the course and not be swayed by every bump along the way can be collectively termed self-efficacy.
One of LIGHT's primary aims is to empower you to better mitigate everyday stressors by refocusing attention of your inner strength and capabilities, by becoming aware of the shifting needs and get back in control, enhancing our overall quality of life.

- The Light-Induced Guided Healing Therapy (LIGHT) framework empowers you to face negative influences and see them transformed in your mind. With repetitive use of this protocol, the impact of those negative influences diminish greatly. It helps you be ok with life's ups and downs!
- LIGHT creates a simulation of life-affirming images and positive outcomes, which when repeated as part of a daily routine, is believed to create new mental pathways that enhance the quality of life. It builds stronger mental pathways towards positive thinking and positive attitudes. It improves the overall wellbeing in our lives and helps us be more happier and peaceful.
- LIGHT eventually helps us cultivate a habit of naturally favoring problem-solving and self-affirming strategies. This overpowers the old strategies of procrastination or self-sabotage that used to run our lives in the past. LIGHT enables a shift from self-sabotaging thoughts and behaviors to a self-confident problem-solving approach. This kind of shift increases feelings of self-confidence and higher self-esteem.
- It helps us use every challenging situation as a playground to build our reserve and visualize our goals fulfilled. With regular use of LIGHT, our mental and emotional resilience expands and our goals are manifested more easily.
- The LIGHT protocol helps the user to tap into the greater healing potential of their subconscious and superconscious mind to improve their overall physical and mental health. LIGHT empowers you to access the higher states that enable you towards healing of the body and the mind.
How does LIGHT work?
Light-Induced Guided Healing Therapy (LIGHT) implements a hybrid of hypnosis and guided imagery to promote self-efficacy. In my one-on-sessions, I will lead my clients through this protocol in six or more weekly sessions. I also give them two recordings that they can use everyday in the comfort of their own homes; using these regularly will help them create powerful results much faster.
I generally recommend a minimum of six weekly sessions for regular clients. If you have any special diagnosis or health issues, you may need up to 10-12 sessions.
During the intake session, the client sets an intention and identifies a guided imagery “go-to place” that is returned to and developed with successive sessions. Clients are introduced to the relaxation process, educating them about systems of affirmations and guided imagery used to improve creative imagination and evoke positive thoughts as often as possible.
LIGHT uses a repeatable framework that helps the client relax into a mild trance. Here they are guided through consistent visual cues to access their beliefs and concerns related to the intention. The framework empowers the client to face negative influences and see them transformed in their mind.
When repeated by the client as part of their daily routine, the simulation of life-affirming images and positive outcomes is believed to create new pathways for thought processing and improve their overall outlook and ability to attain their goals. Researchers have identified this trait promoted by the regular use of LIGHT as self-efficacy.

I recently volunteered for the light guided meditation session with Lata Ramesh. I found the sessions very powerful and enlightening.
